Probability

2018

Probability is a visual identity design and storytelling project developed for the Department of Industrial Design at Tatung University (TTUID) for Yodex Taipei 2018. The project aimed to communicate a perspective on design through graphics that engage both the emotional and rational senses of the audience.

Inspired by the unpredictability of colliding water waves, the abstract concept of "probability" was visualised using this imagery. Red and blue, symbolising passion and wisdom, respectively, were chosen as the foundational elements of the visual identity. These colours represent the mental collision often experienced during the design process, highlighting the interplay between creativity and logic.

或然率是大同大學工業設計學系 2018 年畢業展覽的視覺識別設計專案，希冀透過一系列圖像傳達學生對設計的情感與觀點，並結合理性與感性兩種狀態以引起觀者的共鳴。

專案靈感來自水波相互碰撞時的不可預測性，運用這一形象將或然率的抽象概念具象化。同時，以紅、藍兩色分別象徵熱情與智慧作為視覺識別的基礎，呼應了設計流程中創意與現實考量間的抵觸、碰撞，也重現設計師們心路歷程中的微妙平衡。
